Deception Pass

Whenever I visited Dwan, she suggested visiting Deception Pass! It truly is a gorgeous vista: a bridge high above turbulent water below, surrounded by islands, rocks, mountains, and general greenery.
My grandpa loved driving, especially once he got his Tesla! He was quick to volunteer to take me and Dwan to this beautiful Washington park, especially as it afforded him time to discuss the car’s features that he loved so much (including, of course, the acceleration). He would drop me off on one side of the bridge, let me walk across while he drove, and then pick me up on the other side.
On one such outing, I snapped a few polaroids with them! The picture of me and my grandpa was taken by Dwan. I pin these photos around the mirror in my room so that I can see them each day. 🙂
