Dwan always made you feel like you were something special, as she was very sweet and was always SO proud of every accomplishment you have made, big or small. She was so much fun to be around and had a positive energy. She knew so much about my kids and was sharp every time I would talk to her, and genuinely cared about people. I loved hearing about the cruises and extra time Grandpa and Dwan were able to have together just in the last 10 years. I once reached out to Dwan to ask about our heritage and genealogy, and she was very happy to give me lots of information including saying that her (bohemian great grandmother?) was born on the Ship coming to America and talked about an instrument she loved playing at her grandmother’s home (was it a Piano?). Losing Grandpa and Dwan recently has reminded me that our time on Earth and those that we get to spend time with is so precious. I am SO thankful to have had them as a part of my life.
